About Discover Northamptonshire
We are a sustainable and engaging culture, tourism, and heritage organisation. Our goal is to shine a light on the outstanding assets we have within Northamptonshire, whilst protecting and preserving our heritage and culture for future generations.
Why Are We Here?
Rushden Lakes is one of the biggest attractions in Northamptonshire, receiving over 6.7 million visitors annually, with over 20% traveling from over 30 miles away.
We want to showcase our great county and help you discover where to go next time you visit Northamptonshire.
Our Challenge
Currently, there is little awareness of Northamptonshire as a visitor destination. While centrally located, we are often perceived as a "drive-through" area—one to pass through on the way to somewhere else.
Our Aim
Working with partners and stakeholders, we aim to:
- Improve and grow the tourism economy.
- Develop infrastructure to support local attractions.
- Introduce pioneering marketing strategies to attract inward investment and visitors to our county.

How to Get to Rushden Lakes
By Car
Location: The hub is conveniently located next to the entrance of the Cinema at Rushden Lakes.

There is ample parking available at Rushden Lakes, so you can park your car and easily access the hub.

Train: The nearest train station is Wellingborough, approximately 7 miles away from Rushden Lakes. From there, you can take a taxi or use local buses to reach the hub.
Bus: Several local bus services connect to Rushden Lakes. Check the local bus schedules for routes that stop nearby.
Walking
If you’re in the vicinity, consider walking to Rushden Lakes. It’s a pleasant walk, especially if you’re exploring the area.
